In this article, I will focus on one particular type of tools which is PHP code generators. The one thing that no one can deny though is that PHP has a huge community! That’s the reason why there are many famous CMSs, ready-made applications, plugins, tools, code generators developed in PHP which makes coding in PHP an easier task compared to many other languages. But despite all that there will always be developers who find PHP syntax awkward. Therefor many big and wide spread tools (for example, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, OSCommerce, …) have been developed using PHP.
In contrast, I find PHP one of the coolest programming languages! I spent a decade of my life building tools and utilities for PHP and yes, in the good old days many PHP projects could be labelled as balls of mud but thanks to many well-designed PHP frameworks (for example, Laravel, symfony, Yii,…) and many r ecent versions of PHP, that’s not the case anymore. Many developers believe that PHP is dead! For them PHP is an obsolete language that no new developer should consider learning.
